Wyoming’s Ehan Wood averaged 46.4 yards per punt this past weekend against Boise State, earning Ray Guy Award Player of the Week honors.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award are proud to announce Ethan Wood of the University of Wyoming as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week.

Wood played a vital role for Wyoming, which led to a win against Boise State on Saturday. Wood punted five times for 232 yards. He averaged 46.4 yards per punt with four marked inside Boise State’s 20-yard line. Wood’s net average from this weekend’s game was 46 yards. His long punt was 52 yards and three of his punts were not returned.

Wood, a senior, has started every game of his college career. That total is now at 36 games.

Wood is on the 2016 Ray Guy Award candidates watch list. The list of 66 players will be narrowed to 10 semifinalists on Nov. 11. The Ray Guy Award winner will be announced live on ESPN on Dec. 8.
