Utah’s Mitch Wishnowsky average 48.2 yards per punt this past weekend, earning Ray Guy Award Player of the Week honors.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award are proud to announce Mitch Wishnowsky of the University of Utah as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week for the third time this season.

Wishnowsky played an integral role for Utah in its win against Arizona State University. Wishnowsky punted four times for 193 yards. He averaged 48.2 yards per punt with three marked inside Arizona State’s 20-yard line. Wishnowsky’s net average from this weekend’s game was identical to his gross at 48.2 yards due to none of his punts being returned. His longest punt of the day was 59 yards with three of his punts being fair caught.

Wishnowsky was named a Ray Guy Award semifinalist last week. The winner will be announced live on ESPN on Dec. 8.
