Utah’s Hackett Player of Week again

Utah's Tom Hackett had five punts for 277 yards in a home win against Fresno State.

Utah’s Tom Hackett averaged 49.2 yards per punt in an upset win over UCLA.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award are proud to announce Tom Hackett, University of Utah, as the Ray Guy Award Player of the Week.

Hackett had eight punts for 394 yards in an upset win over UCLA. He averaged 49.2 yards per punt with four marked inside the 20-yard line and one touchback. His net average was 46.6 yards per punt. Four of Hackett’s eight punts went for 50-plus yards with a long punt of 59 yards.

This is the second time this season that Hackett has been award the Ray Guy Award Player of the Week, with the first being in week two. Hackett was also on the 2014 Ray Guy Award Preseason Watch List announced in July.
