Ohio State’s Cameron Johnston averaged 50.6 yards per punt this past weekend, earning Ray Guy Award Player of the Week honors.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award are proud to announce Cameron Johnston of Ohio State as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week.

Johnston had a total of five punts for 253 yards. He averaged 50.6 yards per punt with five marked inside the 20-yard line. His net average was the same as his gross average (50.6 yards) because all five of his punts were not returned. His long punt was 68 yards.

Cameron Johnston is a senior at Ohio State and has been a semifinalist in the past for the Ray Guy Award. Not only is he a standout on the field, he is a standout with his community service. He has done volunteer work at the Mid-Ohio Food bank and has made many visits at the OSU Medical Center/James Cancer Research Center, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the VA Hospital.
