Colorado State’s Hayden Hunt is the Ray Guy Award Player of the Week after averaging 46.7 per punt this past weekend.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award are proud to announce Hayden Hunt of Colorado State University as the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week.

Hunt had a total of 7 punts for 327 yards, helping his team to a victory against the University of Texas at San Antonio. He averaged 46.7 yards per punt with 5 punts marked inside the 20-yard line. Hunt had a net punting average of 41.9 with 5 of his punts not returned, including two that were fair caught. His long punt was 59 yards.

Hayden Hunt was a finalist for last year’s Ray Guy Award. He also was a 2015 All-American and a 2016 Preseason All-American. He is a senior at Colorado State with a major in Political Science. With a heavy workload and football practice, Hunt also makes time to get involved with the community by attending football camps to help aspiring athletes.
