Dorm Days: Started just one season at Ohio State University, in which he led the Big Ten in net punting with a 41.2-yard average. He won the punting job as a redshirt freshman before losing it to a walk-on the next fall, and then he spent nearly two seasons on the bench.

Go Figure: 36. Of Sander’s 75 punts, 36 were downed inside the 20-yard line.

NFL Career: Third-round pick (87th overall to Green Bay). Sander tallied 64 punts in his only NFL season, averaging 39.2 yards per punt in 14 total games in 2005.

Extra Points: Sander finished first in NFL Europe with a 36.6-yard net average for the Hamburg Sea Devils in 2005.
